Where visions become reality

“Management that speaks the language of its customers, a recovering economy, constantly high quality, on-time deliveries and continuous communication with our customers” – those are the secrets of the success of ZINKPOWER in the Middle East for Wolfgang Motz.

Modern fairy tales are coming true in Dubai and Qatar. The development of infrastructure is booming. At Dubai International Airport, the new Terminal Concourse A has been in operation since early this year. The huge complex, with a length of 645 m, was exclusively built for the Emirates Airlines’ fleet of A380s, which is the largest in the world. In future, some 15 million additional passengers and their luggage will be handled here every year. Kilometres of luggage conveyor systems with hot-dip galvanized sub-structures run in the depths of the terminal.

Terminal 2 was also upgraded to cope with the increasing volume of low-cost carrier flights.

The new Doha International Airport was built in Qatar on an artificially reclaimed area of 8.9 square kilometres, with the vision to build two extra-long runways compatible with the A380s. The airport can also be reached from the sea via a 1.2-kilometre long berth specifically created for taxi boats and private yachts.

The new airport buildings are designed on the basis of maritime themes. The huge logistics centres, e.g. for duty-free merchandise, were designed in wave shapes with hot-dip galvanized steel elements.

ZINKPOWER Middle East operates one of the largest hot-dip galvanizing kettles with a length of 16 m, a width of 1.8 m and a depth of 3 m. From Sharjah, the team provides services to its customers in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman and beyond.

The success of ZINKPOWER Middle East confirms the slogan of the ZINKPOWER Group: family-run, close to customers and at home worldwide.
