THE SMALLEST FOOTPRINT

ZINKPOWER Odense A/S and ZINKPOWER Holstebro A/S are the first galvanizing plants in Denmark to operate exclusively with CO2 neutral energy. In addition, low-carbon zinc is used for galvanizing. This zinc is exclusively extracted and produced with green energy. This achieves a CO2 footprint of less than 1 kg of CO2 per kilogram of zinc. In comparison, conventionally produced zinc generates about 4 kg of CO2 per kilogramme of zinc.*  

In total, these two measures avoid 7,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.
