New ZINKPOWER location opens in the U.S.

With its new hot-dip galvanizing plant in Terre Haute, Indiana, ZINKPOWER is steadily expanding its presence in North America. The facility is the group’s fourth plant in the U.S. and will particularly strengthen its ability to serve customers in the Midwest. Following the groundbreaking ceremony in October 2024, the plant was completed in a short period of time and has been fully operational since early January 2026. The new facility was officially opened in May 2026.

The facility represents state-of-the-art hot-dip galvanizing technology, energy-efficient furnace and plant systems, and advanced pretreatment processes. At the same time, ZINKPOWER Terre Haute is firmly committed to sustainable production and high environmental standards—based on standardized plant technology that meets proven German quality and environmental benchmarks: The new facility features the first electrically heated galvanizing kettle in the United States. In this way, we are consistently continuing our path toward CO₂-free production at our North American locations as well.

The project was successfully implemented through close collaboration between international engineering teams, regional partners, and leading technology suppliers from Europe and the U.S. With Terre Haute, ZINKPOWER underscores its international growth trajectory and combines technological excellence with sustainable industrial solutions for the U.S. market.
