Our first sustainability report – 2023-2024

MOTIVES AND EXPLANATIONS

Sustainability is not just a trend for ZINKPOWER, but a responsibility we have embraced since the company was founded. We want to use our first sustainability report to highlight, in a transparent way, what measures we are taking and what goals we are pursuing. Our commitment is evident at every step and is firmly embedded in our corporate DNA. Our belief is that economic success and sustainable action must go hand in hand.

It provides a detailed insight into our sustainable developments and serve as a basis for future measures.

Why is sustainability important to us?

As an international company engaged in hot-dip galvanizing, we have a special responsibility to the environment and society. Acting sustainably helps us to conserve resources, reduce emissions and be economically successful over the long term

Our goals for the report

Transparancy, Measures and Contribution

Our report creates transparency in terms of our progress, challenges and future measures. We show how we embed environmental and social standards in our business processes and what contribution we are making to reducing CO₂. A key element of our strategy is our “Way To Zero”, which sets the guiding principles for a zero-emission future.

What does this mean for us as a company?

Sustainability is a strategic decision which influences our actions in all areas – from the procurement of raw materials to energy consumption and social responsibility towards our employees.

What is the situation in the industry?

European legislation, such as the CSRD or the due diligence directive, increasingly requires companies to review their sustainability. This means that all aspects of sustainability are also becoming increasingly important for the hot-dip galvanizing industry. Customers, partners and regulations are demanding greater transparency and sustainable concepts – a change we want to actively help shape. At ZINKPOWER, we are leading the way and setting ourselves apart from our competitors.

What topics do we cover?

Our report examines the key sustainability topics, divided into three chapters:

✔ Environmental & climate protection (CO₂ reduction, circular economy)

✔ Social responsibility (employees, social commitment)

✔ Governance (code of conduct, compliance, corporate governance)

Which standards and guidelines apply?

We are guided by international standards such as GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and ESG criteria. These help us to make our sustainability measures measurable and comparable.

Watch this space – you'll be able to read more soon, and we look forward to presenting each chapter in detail. Let's work together towards a sustainable future!
