Powder coating is a surface treatment technique where parts made from
aluminum or hot dip galvanized steel are coated with a powder of polyester or
epoxy.
After a special chemical pretreatment of the material's surface, the coating
is applied using powder sprayers. Electrostatic self-charge distributes it on
the material's surface. Afterwards the powder is baked in an oven at a
material’s temperature of approx. 180°C and runs into a
coating.
The advantages are:
High corrosion protection
Decorative finish
Unlimited variety of colors
Solvent-free and heavy metal-free method
Easily to process after being powder coated
Thus powder coating meets the requirements of a state-of-the-art surface
treatment procedure.
