Hot Dip Galvanizing
Hot dip galvanizing is a particularly effective, long-lasting and economical
protection against the corrosion of steel.
Hot dip galvanizing or job galvanizing takes place, when chemically derusted
parts are dipped in 450°C hot molten zinc. In this process zinc joins with the
steel into a metal formation. Its physical and chemical properties guarantee an
outstanding long-term corrosion protection. Further advantages compared to other
methods are:
- Ability to cope with mechanical stress, scuff resistant, impact resistant;
- Complete coverage, on the component's outside as well as on the inside;
- Suitable to be connected using common methods (screws, welding);
- Service free with long operating life, hence cost effective;
- Automated process steps guarantee uniform quality free from weather
influence.
