ZinkPower Buk - a new milestone within the Kopf Group
After only six months of construction, the Kopf Group could
start production of the galvanizing plant ZinkPower Buk in Poland a
few days ago. ZinkPower Buk is the third galvanizing plant of Kopf
Group in Poland. It is located near Poznan, on the A1 motorway
between Frankfurt /Oder and Warsaw. The kettle dimensions are 7
meters (length), 1.8 m (width) and 3 meters (depth).
The new hot-dip galvanizing plant was designed and built by the
Kopf Group’s own engineering department - using the knowledge
gained from the application and development of other Kopf Group
plants. ZinkPower Buk is characterized by a technological lead in
environment protection and plant engineering.The careful use of
natural resources is a key corporate goal at the Kopf Group.
New Vienna Main Station will be galvanized by ZinkPower Brunn
The new Vienna main station is being constructed on a 109 hectare area between the former south and east stations and Südtiroler Platz. Being constructed as a through station it will become the most important hub for regional, national, and international transport and a central junction in the trans-European rail network. The awarding authority of this large-scale project is the ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG. Unger Stahlbau GmbH will built the 40,000 square roof construction. ZinkPower Brunn will galvanize the roof construction in order to protect the roof from corrosion. Starting May 2011, 4,000 tons of steel will be galvanized successively.
