Anodizing
Anodizing or electrolytic oxidation of aluminium is a proven
corrosion protection process for aluminium components.
In contrast to electro-plating whereby the separation of a metal
takes place electronically on a substrate, with anodizing, the base
material itself is converted into an oxide layer.
The advantages
- High level of corrosion protection, suitability also for a maritime climate (e.g., swimming pools and coastal locations)
- Decorative appearance
- Mechanical resilience
