Phosphate Coating
Phosphate coating is a chemical surface treatment method whereby the top
surface of the metal is converted into a highly insoluble, corrosion-resistant
zinc-phosphate coating that i.e. provides the primary bond between substrates
and the next process, like powder coating.
The main applications are:
- Corrosion protection
- Makes metal forming easier
- Enhances the sliding quality
- Insulating effect
