Anodizing
Anodizing is a proven coating technique for aluminum. Through an
electrochemical process the material's surface is transformed into an oxide
layer. Contrary to other methods, this layer is built from the base material
itself. No foreign material is involved.

Prior to the last working step, where the oxide layer is compressed, it can
be dyed in colors from light brown to black. The characteristic structure of the
metal surface remains though.
Main advantages are:
- Corrosion resistance
- Decorative finish
- High coating toughness
