 1973 Willi and Magda Kopf found a galvanizing shop in Göppingen and start the production with two employees.
 1979 Relocation of the hot dip galvanizing plant to the newly built facilities in Schlierbach near Kirchheim/Teck.
 1986 Willi Kopf acquires Brunner Verzinkerei Brüder Bablik in Brunn am Gebirge, Austria.
 1988 Bergheimer Verzinkerei near Salzburg, Austria, is acquired.
 1989 Takeover Kärntner Verzinkerei in Klagenfurt KOPF group's market position is rounded out.
 1991 Kopf Group acquires a galvanizing plant in Radebeul near Dresden, which commences operation under the new name Verzinkerei Radebeul GmbH.
 1992 BBB Moson Cink in Hungary becomes the first firm outside the German-speaking countries.
 1994 Erection of Zinkovna Roudnice, Czech Republic.
 1996 A third Eastern European country is entered as Zinkovna Malacky is built in Slovakia.
 1998 The market position in the Czech Republic is further strengthened as a galvanizing plant in Decin is acquired.
 1998 Zinkovna Ostrava starts operation. With it KOPF group's leading position on the Czech Republic market is underpinned.
 1999 The first galvanizing shop of KOPF group outside Europe starts production in Jakarta, Indonesia.
 2000 In the greater area of Vienna OTW Oberflächentechnik Wiener Neustadt is acquired.
 2000 The galvanizing shop Krieger near Düsseldorf becomes a member of the KOPF group.
 2000 The largest deal in KOPF group's history is closed. Thirteen galvanizing plants and one zinc die cast producer are acquired from Metaleurop Weiterverarbeitung GmbH. These companies with locations in Neumünster, Hamburg, Rostock, Lübeck, Berlin, Calbe, Braunschweig, Alheim, Meckenheim, Lahr, Dogern, Fürsten-feldbruck and Velbert fit the geographical distribution of KOPF group ideally.
 2002 Takeover of two galvanizing plants FNO and FNW of Roßberg-Group. Operation under the name Feuerverzinkung Remels and Feuerverzinkung Schopsdorf.
 2003 Start of production of Verzinkerei Schönberg
 2003 Acquisition of Steirische Verzinkerei, Gratkorn.
 2003 Takeover of Verzinkerei Bernau
 2005 Takeover of galvanizing plant Stagrid Stapelmann. Operation under the name Verzinkerei Hückelhoven
 2005 Takeover of Porta-Eko-Cynk, Stettin
 2006 Das Druckgusswerk Ortmann übernimmt die Produktion von Alu- und Zinkdruckguss der Firma Cleff Metallguss, Wuppertal.  
 2007 Start of production of ZinkPower Monterrey in Mexico 
 2007 Takeover of aluminium die casting company VDT-Vobra Druckgusstechnik, Enger/Westfalen
 2007 Start of production of zinc die casting company Ortmann Mexico in Monterrey
